About Me

Where it all began

My Story and Mission

Spending a semester as an AFS exchange student in Germany at the age of 16 was a turning point in my life. It didn’t just teach me the language and deepen my understanding of German culture—it also helped me form meaningful, lifelong connections, especially with my host family, who truly became my second family. More than ten years later, we still keep in touch through monthly video calls, exchanging Christmas gifts, and even traveling together.

Since that experience, I’ve been constantly seeking opportunities for language immersion adventures. I’ve studied in language schools around the world—in China, Spain, Costa Rica, and beyond—exploring new cultures and learning different languages.

After earning my master’s degree in Education from a university in the U.S., I decided to launch a passion project called Linguenture, a blend of the words ‘language’ and ‘adventure’. My new challenge is to learn a new language every year by attending a language school in a different country and documenting the journey on this blog. I hope to inspire others to travel, learn languages, and expand their horizons—because languages are not just tools of communication, but bridges to other cultures.

So, hop in—and let’s go on a linguenture together!
